Beyond the warranty Apple has rated the battery to be at 80% afr 400 charges with six to two hundred and fifty hour life per charge depending on what is being done. Several technology journalists have stated that Apples' claims about the batteries life are not true. In fact, a J.D Power and Associates customer satisfaction survey gave the battery aspects of the iPhone 3G two out of five stars.
