The RPGs of 2012 (Game Informer)
The last few months have made 2011 a particularly stand-out year for games.
From Batman to Uncharted to Modern Warfare, there has been something big and
awesome for virtually every type of gamer. Looking ahead to 2012, we're still
waiting to hear a lot of major announcements, but one thing is clear to me
already: This is going to be the best year for RPG fans in a long time.
To help prove my point I've put together a list of all of the RPGs that we're
currently expecting to arrive next year along with a few that we're hoping
for.
**Atelier Meruru** (Spring)
I'm not remotely the target audience for developer Gust's long-running Atelier
series, but rest assured that a certain hardcore niche of RPG fans loves it.
If you can't get enough of performing alchemy and partaking in simplified
combat as a cutesy anime girl, I can't imagine a better way to start off your
year.
**Darksiders II** (June)
Though the original Darksiders focused more on combat and Zelda-inspired
puzzles, this sequel is blowing out the RPG elements. New protagonist Death
will become more powerful as you progress while gathering tons of loot and
stat upgrades. ...

Released in October 2008, the Nintendo DS Light enables anyone to play on a Game Console any time, any where. This portable Video Game console is popular with young and old, you only have to travel by train to see the number of people tapping the touch screen, engrossed in trying to achieve whatever is necessary to get ahead of the game.
The Nintendo DS Light is small enough to carry around in your purse or your pocket, its touch screen and voice recognition system make it extremely easy to use, and it doesn't take long for anyone to pick up the simple techniques required to use the console. The console has two screens; one screen is in the bottom of the console and the other in the lid. Each screen works on its own processor and this means that the people who devise the games have more options to play with.
The Nintendo has its own built in microphone, which allows the user to interact with some of the games. Even more important the console has a free WiFi connection, which works when the player is in a hot spot area, this means that users can interact with the game and with each other wherever they are. The console has its own built in stereophonic speakers for great sound and will cope with advanced Gameboy games through its separate media port.
Other games have plenty of good features but there are very few that match the Nintendo for screen brightness, definition and ease of use and 3D rendered graphics. The latest model is even twenty percent lighter than the original Nintendo. Most of the games involve what is known as brain training, which means that you have to solve a puzzle, or answer a question in a specific time - your proficiency at the game is rated by the speed and accuracy with which you answer the questions or solve the puzzle.
The two back-lit screen's brightness are adjustable by up to four different levels, which means they adapt to whatever the light conditions are and this saves on your battery consumption. Battery life is around eighteen hours at low level and five hours at full brightness. The DS console costs about a hundred and twenty pounds with one video game. If you don't want to pay full price during the present credit crunch then it is well worth taking a look on Amazon, Ebay and other auction sites as it is possible to get a cheaper deal.
