Editorial: Sony's Biggest Mistake Of 2011 (Game Informer)
Despite releasing some big name exclusives, 2011 was a rough year for Sony.
The company's lackluster security led to one of the worst hacking scandals in
recent history, and its solution to motion-controlled gaming fell flat in
light of nearly nonexistent support. But these disappointments pale in my mind
to the company's failure to capitalize on three little words.
Play, Create, Share. It's a tag line Sony coined alongside the first
LittleBigPlanet, one that wasn't just supposed to be a flashy slogan, but a
new way to play Video Games. It was meant to be a feather in Sony's cap - one
the company could certainly use.
**The LittleBigPlanet series provides virtually unlimited replayability**
Sony doesn't have a lot to differentiate itself from the competition nowadays.
The allure of free online gaming lost some of its luster when the company's
network went down for almost a month and countless users had their personal
information stolen. Move, while probably the most accurate form of motion-
based gaming on the market, hasn't had any compelling releases to justify the
peripheral's existence. Sony has pushed 3D gaming hard in recent months, but
you don't need a Sony television or ...

Ah, so you are a nintendo seeker wii. Finding a wii is not easy is it? What is the smartest way to find a wii?
Since its release date, the wii has been all but impossible to find. The Big "N" has been producing them as quickly as possible, but it just isn't fast enough. So many people still want one.
So what then can you do?
1) Ebay: Some people say this is the easy way out, but I think it is the smartest. The prices are currently only about thirty to fifty above retail. But if you watch auctions and are patience, you can even get a better deal then that. Don't fall for a buy it now, wait and fight it out in the auctions, but be patient...otherwise you'll spend a fortune!
2) Local Retailers: I have not seen a wii in a store ever! Of course the games are plentiful, but a lot of good they do without the system. Retailers get shipments very rarely and without notice. And sell out just as quickly.
3) Local Video Game Stores: Same situation as the retailers, pretty tough to find, they are not getting a lot of units in unfortunately.
My advice is that you either wait (there really is only One Game worth playing as of now, and that is the masterpiece Zelda) a few months, or take a crack at ebay. I can understand being tired of waiting, I really thought they'd be plentiful by now but they are not. The wii has really caught on!
Whatever you decide, consider yourself a nintendo seeker wii. Now get out there and don't give up!
